Regular Season Round 25: Al Khor - Al Ahli 55-91

The game in Al Khor supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Al Ahli (7-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Al Khor (3-8). Al Ahli smashed Al Khor 91-55. Al Ahli dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Al Khor's 30. They outrebounded Al Khor 43-29 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Ahli players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Al Khor's players. American forward Antwaine Wiggins (203-88, college: Charleston, agency: BIG) stepped up and scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and international forward Ndoye Seydou (205-99) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Al Ahli players scored in double figures. Al Ahli's coach Panagiotis Foteinakis felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Ali Tawfiq responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and American guard William Mfum (188, college: Panola JC) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Al Ahli moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Sadd. Al Khor lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Qatar Club. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
