Regular Season Round 38: Aomori W. - Kagawa FA 74-88

Very predictable result when first ranked Kagawa FA (22-10) defeated on the road 7th ranked Aomori W. (2-31) 88-74 on Saturday. Kagawa FA made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian center Angus Brandt (208-89, college: Oregon St.) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Kagawa FA's coach Yuichi Ishikawa used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-90, college: NM State) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and American swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kagawa FA maintains first position with 22-10 record. Aomori W. lost fifteenth consecutive game.
