Regular Season Round 33: KT Sonicboom - Mobis Phoebus 68-66

The most exciting game of round 33 in the KBL took place in Busan. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Mobis Phoebus (25-17) to third ranked KT Sonicboom (23-14) 68-66 on Friday evening. KT Sonicboom made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Jiwon Park (193-98) who scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The former international center Yoongi Ha (203-99) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St.) who recorded 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Ji-Hoon Ham (198-84) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KT Sonicboom maintains third place with 23-14 record having six points less than leader SK Knights. Mobis Phoebus at the other side keep the second position with 17 games lost. KT Sonicboom are looking forward to face KCC Egis (#9) in Jeonju in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Mobis Phoebus will play on the road against Anyang KGC (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
