Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Doha: Al Gharafa (#5) and Al Sadd (#2). Al Gharafa (6-5) won against visiting Al Sadd (7-3) 97-92. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Al Sadd. Al Gharafa made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. American guard Byron Ashe (186-95, college: Longwood) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and international forward Babacar Dieng (197-97) added 24 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Al Sadd. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 6-5 record. Al Sadd at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
