There was no surprise in Seoul where 10th ranked Samsung Th. (7-28) was crushed by second ranked Mobis Phoebus (25-17) 94-69 on Wednesday. Mobis Phoebus outrebounded Samsung Th. 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Rashon Thomas (183, college: TAMUK) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Ji-Hoon Ham (198-84) chipped in 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Dong-Ryang Kim (198-87) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-89) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mobis Phoebus maintains second place with 25-17 record having one point less than leader SK Knights. Samsung Th. lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 28 lost games. Mobis Phoebus will meet Anyang KGC (#4) on the road in the next round. Samsung Th.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Seoul SK Knights.
