Regular Season Round 37: Tokyo Z - FE Nagoya 53-126

B2 League top team - FE Nagoya (28-4) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Tokyo Z (5-28) 126-53. FE Nagoya dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 24 and made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game, while Tokyo Z only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded Tokyo Z 45-15 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. FE Nagoya shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 54.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. 26 personal fouls committed by Tokyo Z helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Jeremy Jones (201-96, college: Gonzaga) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five FE Nagoya players scored in double figures. FE Nagoya's coach Taizon Kawabe felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Yuto Yamanouchi (204-3) answered with 11 points and American point guard Mark Burton (183-98, college: Fayetteville St.) added 10 points in the effort for Tokyo Z. FE Nagoya have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 28-4 record. Tokyo Z lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 28 games lost. FE Nagoya are looking forward to face Fukuoka R. (#5) at home in the next round. Tokyo Z will play against Sendai 89ers and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
