Regular Season Round 36: Ryukyu GK - San-en NP 100-72

B1 League top team - Ryukyu GK (27-3) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked San-en NP (4-27) in Okinawa 100-72. They outrebounded San-en NP 36-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Ryukyu GK especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored that evening 22 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Christian) supported him with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 12 points by German center Elias Harris (203-89, college: Gonzaga, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for San-en NP. Filipino guard Ferdinand Ravena (189-96) added 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ryukyu GK have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 27-3 record. San-en NP lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 27 games lost. Ryukyu GK will meet Shiga L-Stars (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. San-en NP will play against Alvark Tokyo and hope to secure a win.
