Regular Season Round 31: KoGas - LG Sakers 86-80

The game in Inchon was also quite interesting. 6th ranked LG Sakers (16-22) played at the court of eighth ranked KoGas (16-21). KoGas managed to secure a 6-point victory 86-80 on Thursday. KoGas made 23-of-25 free shots (92.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. International guard Nakhyeon Kim (180-95) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and Filipino guard Kwan-Hee Lee (190-88) added 23 points and 5 rebounds respectively for LG Sakers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. LG Sakers' coach Sung-won Cho rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KoGas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with DB Promy. LG Sakers lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with 22 games lost. KoGas will meet higher ranked Anyang KGC (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LG Sakers will play against Anyang KGC (#4) and hope to secure a win.
