Regular Season Round 9: Taichung Suns - Tainan GH 98-95

Fifth-ranked GhostHawks (2-8) were very close to win a game against fourth ranked Suns (7-5) in Taichung. Suns managed to secure only three-point victory 98-95. However their fans expected easier game. Suns players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Filipino-Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-96, college: CBU) chipped in 28 points and 7 rebounds. Five Suns players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was naturalized American power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds and Costa Rican-Belizean Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Suns. They maintain fourth place with 7-5 record. GhostHawks lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Suns will play against bottom-ranked Leopards (#6) in Taoyuan in the next round. GhostHawks will have a break next round.
