No shocking result in a game when second ranked Kawasaki BT (22-7) beat 7th ranked Hokkaido L. (12-18) in Saporro 109-91 on Saturday. Kawasaki BT looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The winners were led by the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists and American-Georgian Matt Janning (195-88, college: Northeastern) supported him with 23 points and 5 assists. Four Kawasaki BT players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 9 rebounds by American DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) did not help to save the game for Hokkaido L.. His fellow American import forward Shawn Long (208-93, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Pensack Sports) added 30 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kawasaki BT keeps a position of league leader. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the seventh place with 18 games lost. Kawasaki BT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hokkaido L. will play again against the league's leader Kawasaki BT (#1) and hope to secure a win.
