Fourth defeat of league's leader Irtysh against Okzhetpes 78-55 was the most important game of the last round. Okzhetpes forced 25 Irtysh turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Russian center Aleksandra Varaksina (190-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Nadezhda Yakovleva (183-3) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Valeriya Kapitonova (180-1) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Xeniya Abdurashitova (168-1) added 8 points in the effort for Irtysh. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Irtysh will play next round against strong Turan trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Okzhetpes will try to continue on its current victory against Nur-Sultan Tigers at home.
