The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Aquas (9-3) against fourth ranked Suns on Friday night. Suns were defeated by fourth ranked Suns (7-5) 104-89. They made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Aquas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Filipino-Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-96, college: CBU) contributed with 28 points and 4 assists for the winners. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-91, agency: BIG) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 21 rebounds and American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-91, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists in the effort for Aquas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suns have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-5 record. Aquas at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. Suns are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Leopards (#6) in Taoyuan in the next round. Aquas will play at home against Leopards (#6) and are hoping to win this game.
