Regular Season Round 28: SK Knights - KoGas 97-87

KBL top team - SK Knights (26-8) managed to deliver another win on Monday. This time they beat eighth ranked KoGas (14-20) in Seoul 97-87. SK Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to KoGas' 38. They outrebounded KoGas 47-26 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. The former international Joon-Young Choi (200-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) replied with 27 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Kyungmin Doo (184-91) added 17 points and 7 assists in the effort for KoGas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SK Knights have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-8 record. KoGas at the other side keep the eighth place with 20 games lost. SK Knights are looking forward to face DB Promy (#7) in Wonju in the next round where they are favorite. KoGas will play at home against KCC Egis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
