Regular Season Round 31: Koshigaya A. - Fukushima 63-104

An interesting game for Fukushima (21-10) which played road game in Tokyo against 4th placed Koshigaya A. (16-13). Second ranked Fukushima had an easy win 104-63. Fukushima players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Koshigaya A.'s players. It was a great evening for American-Finnish forward Alex Murphy (206-93, college: Northeastern) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-90, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fukushima have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-10 record having two points less than leader Kagawa FA. Koshigaya A. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Saga B.. Fukushima will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Koshigaya A. will play again at home against the league's second-placed Fukushima (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
