T1 League top team - Aquas (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Leopards (1-8) in Kaohsiung 116-82. Aquas dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Leopards' 38. Aquas forced 19 Leopards turnovers and had a 41-30 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a quality performance for Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-91, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. The former international Long-Mao Hu (195-92, college: Chaminade) accounted for 20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Forward Yang-Ming Tsai (196-95) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and American Deyonta Davis (208-96, college: Michigan St.) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Leopards in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aquas have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-1 record. Leopards lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Aquas will play against TB Herobears (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Leopards will play against the league's second-placed N.Taipei CTBC to get more than just one victory in their record.
