Regular Season Round 12: Homentmen - Anibal 87-76

Everything could happen in Beirut at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Homentmen and 9th ranked Anibal had identical 1-8 record. This time Homentmen used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Zahle 87-76 on Friday night. Homentmen outrebounded Anibal 50-37 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Daniel Baghdadian who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and Karl Zaloum who added 11 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists during the contest. Four Homentmen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Tarek Mitri with 19 points and 4 assists and Christopher Maalouf scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Homentmen (2-8) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Atlas. Loser Anibal dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Byblos.
