Second Stage Round 1: Chemidor - Niroo Zamini 83-63

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tehran: Chemidor and Niroo Zamini. Chemidor crushed visiting Niroo Zamini by 20 points 83-63. Chemidor dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Niroo Zamini's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Niroo Zamini's players. Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) fired 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Dwight Buycks (191-89, college: Marquette) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Reza Sabagh produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Pouya Yakhchali (-96) added 10 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chemidor is looking forward to face Raad in Mashhad in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Niroo Zamini will play at home against Sirjan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
