Everything went according to plan in Medina where third ranked Ohod (12-2) outscored 10th ranked Al Nahda (2-12) 91-72. American guard Shane Rector (188-94, college: Utah St.) notched 34 points (!!!), 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and the former international forward Nassir Abojalas (196-94) supported him with 23 points and 5 rebounds. Ohod's coach Fuad Abou Chakra let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds by American center Malik Wineglass (203-93, college: Harris-Stowe St.) did not help to save the game for Al Nahda. Abdulmajeed Barnawi added 16 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Four Al Nahda players scored in double figures. Ohod have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Nasr. Al Nahda lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Duba Club. Ohod will play against Al Ittihad (#4) in Jeddah in the next round. Al Nahda will play at home against Al Ahly (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
