Regular Season Round 26: Kanazawa - Yokohama EX 70-109

Bottom-ranked Kanazawa is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 25th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Yokohama EX (7-18) 109-70. Yokohama EX dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa's 38 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Yokohama EX forced 21 Kanazawa turnovers. Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-93, college: Alberta) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Yokohama EX players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Dusan Vicentic (204-97, college: WVWC) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Kakeru Kanakubo (191-97) scored 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yokohama EX maintains eleventh position with 7-18 record, which they share with Yamaguchi. Kanazawa at the other side still closes the standings. Yokohama EX will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kanazawa will play again at home against Yokohama EX (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
