There was a minor upset in Changwon where 5th ranked Goyang Orions (14-15) were defeated by eighth ranked LG Sakers (13-16) 71-61 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 22 rebounds. The former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-91) chipped in 7 points and 8 assists. American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Ole Miss) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Lee Jung-Hyun (190-99) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. LG Sakers maintains eighth place with 13-16 record. Loser Goyang Orions keep the fifth position with 15 games lost. LG Sakers will meet KCC Egis (#9) in the next round. Goyang Orions will play against the league's leader SK Knights (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
