The game between third ranked Sharks (14-4) and tenth ranked Heroes (10-8) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Sharks were defeated by Heroes in Shanghai 117-100. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Sharks. Heroes dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Sharks' 56 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Sharks 48-36 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Heroes looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Sharks helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international center Hanlin Tao (208-91) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: UT Martin) chipped in 26 points and 6 assists. Four Heroes players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Noah Vonleh (208-95, college: Indiana, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and the former international center Zhelin Wang (214-94) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Heroes maintains tenth place with 10-8 record. Sharks at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. They share it with Shanxi L. and Guangsha L.. Heroes are looking forward to face Jiangsu Dragons (#18) in Nanjing in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
