Regular Season Round 23: Mobis Phoebus - SK Knights 93-94

Fourth-ranked Mobis Phoebus (15-14) gave a tough game to second ranked SK Knights (20-8) in Ulsan. The visitors from Seoul managed to secure only one-point victory 94-93. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Mobis Phoebus. SK Knights players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. The former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-88) accounted for 29 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side. American point guard Rashon Thomas (183, college: TAMUK) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Wooseok Lee added 22 points respectively for Mobis Phoebus in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SK Knights have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with KT Sonicboom. Mobis Phoebus at the other side keep the fourth place with 14 games lost. SK Knights will play against Anyang KGC (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mobis Phoebus will play against KoGas in Inchon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
