Regular Season Round 26: Shimane SM - Nagoya DD 88-81

An interesting game for Shimane SM (18-8) which hosted in Shimane second-ranked Nagoya DD (18-8). Third ranked Shimane SM managed to get a 7-point victory 88-81. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Nagoya DD. Shimane SM made 20-of-21 free shots (95.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Australian Nick Kay (206-92, college: MSU Denver) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international guard Seiya Ando (184-92) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Shimane SM players scored in double figures. American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) replied with 21 points and 5 assists and the former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-95) added 18 points and 8 assists in the effort for Nagoya DD. Nagoya DD's coach Shawn Dennis rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Shimane SM moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Nagoya DD. Shimane SM is looking forward to face Gunma CT (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Nagoya DD will play against Ibaraki R. (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
