The game in Shiga supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Akita NH (17-9) played at the court of 8th ranked Shiga L-Stars (9-17). Akita NH smashed Shiga L-Stars 92-67 on Monday. American forward Alex Davis (206-92, college: Fresno St.) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) supported him with 23 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Four Akita NH players scored in double figures. Even 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists by American forward Novar Gadson (201-89, college: Rider) did not help to save the game for Shiga L-Stars. British Ovie Soko (201-91, college: Duquesne) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Akita NH have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hitachi SRT and Tochigi Brex. Shiga L-Stars lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Toyama G. and Yokohama BC. Akita NH will meet Toyama G. (#8) on the road in the next round. Shiga L-Stars will play against Sea Horses M. in Kariya and hope to secure a win.
