Regular Season Round 27: Saga B. - Yamagata 84-92

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Yamagata (15-13) won against on the road 4th placed Saga B. (15-13) 92-84 on Sunday. Yamagata looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jawad Williams (204-83, college: UNC) helped adding 15 points. Five Yamagata players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was British forward Myles Hesson (198-90) with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds and Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yamagata moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Saga B. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
