Regular Season Round 27: Saga B. - Yamagata 80-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Yamagata's (15-13) road loss to fourth ranked Saga B. (15-13) 67-80 on Saturday. Saga B. made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game, while Yamagata only scored seven points from the stripe. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for British forward Myles Hesson (198-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!). Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) helped adding 19 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 6 steals. The best for the losing side was American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import forward Jawad Williams (204-83, college: UNC) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Saga B. have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 15-13 record, which they share with defeated Yamagata. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
