The most exciting game of round 5 in the T1 League ended with only one-point defeat of second-ranked TB Herobears (5-3) to first ranked Aquas (6-1) 114-113 in the game for the first place. Aquas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by TB Herobears helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-91, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-91, agency: BIG) chipped in 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Aquas' coach Brendan Joyce used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Diamond Stone (210-97, college: Maryland) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and the former international point guard Yu-An Chiang (174-91) added 19 points and 8 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) respectively for Aquas. Four TB Herobears players scored in double figures. Aquas maintains first place with 6-1 record. TB Herobears at the other side keep the second position with three games lost.
