Very expected game when 10th ranked Byblos (1-8) were defeated at home by fifth ranked Antranik (5-3) 79-71 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was guard Youssef Ghantous (191-96) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. Ahmad Ekkewi chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was forward William Sawan (201-98) who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds and Bechara Boustany added 24 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Antranik. Newly promoted Antranik maintains fifth place with 5-3 record. Byblos lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Antranik's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beirut Homentmen.
