There was no surprise when 7th ranked Aomori W. (2-23) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Saga B. (13-12) 93-36 on Sunday. Saga B. dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Aomori W.'s 16. Saga B. forced 31 Aomori W. turnovers and outrebounded them 44-23 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and British forward Myles Hesson (198-90) chipped in 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side guard Hayate Komasawa (188-98) responded with 7 points and guard Yamato Ito (185-95) scored 3 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saga B. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 13-12 record, which they share with Yamagata. Aomori W. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 23 games lost. Saga B. will meet at home Ehime OV (#6) in the next round. Aomori W. will play against Yamagata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
