Regular Season Round 4: Taichung Suns - TB Herobears 110-102

Very important is a loss of TB Herobears (4-2) against fifth ranked Suns (2-2) on Saturday night. TB Herobears were defeated by Suns in a tough game 102-110. Suns forced 25 TB Herobears turnovers. TB Herobears were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-88) who scored that evening 29 points and 9 rebounds and guard Sheng-Ju Ting (174-98, college: St.Francis, IL) supported him with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Suns' coach Iurgi Caminos allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds by American power forward Diamond Stone (210-97, college: Maryland) did not help to save the game for TB Herobears. His fellow American import swingman Tony Mitchell (198-89, college: Alabama, agency: BIG) added 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Four TB Herobears players scored in double figures. Suns moved-up to third place. TB Herobears at the other side dropped to the bottom position with two games lost. Suns will again play against bottom-ranked TB Herobears (#6) at home in the next round. TB Herobears will play against the league's leader Aquas in Kaohsiung and hope to get back on the winning track.
