Regular Season Round 24: Tokyo Z - Kagawa FA 80-92

Very predictable result when first ranked Kagawa FA (17-7) beat on the road 6th ranked Tokyo Z (5-20) 92-80 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 9 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) who added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Kagawa FA's coach Yuichi Ishikawa used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Takumi Masuko (186-91) scored 24 points and 6 assists. Five Tokyo Z players scored in double figures. Kagawa FA have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-7 record. Loser Tokyo Z keeps the sixth place with 20 games lost. Kagawa FA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo Z will play again against the league's leader Kagawa FA (#1) and hope to secure a win.
