Very predictable result when second ranked Shimane SM (15-6) defeated at home 7th ranked Shinshu BW (9-12) 75-67 on Sunday. Shimane SM made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was international guard Seiya Ando (184-92) who scored 22 points and 7 assists. Australian Nick Kay (206-92, college: MSU Denver) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Shimane SM players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was South Korean Jae-Min Yang (201-99, college: Neosho Co.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Shimane SM. They maintain second place with 15-6 record behind leader Ryukyu GK. Shinshu BW lost their seventh game in a row.
