Regular Season Round 22: Saga B. - Fukuoka R. 98-81

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Fukuoka R. (10-12) lost on the road to fifth ranked Saga B. (10-12) 98-81 on Saturday. Saga B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. British forward Myles Hesson (198-90) notched a triple-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) supported him with 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds by Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) did not help to save the game for Fukuoka R.. American power forward Gerald Beverly (202-93, college: Daemen) added 19 points and 15 rebounds for lost side. Four Fukuoka R. players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saga B. moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Fukuoka R. Fukuoka R. lost third consecutive game. Saga B. will again meet at home Fukuoka R. (#5) in the next round. Fukuoka R. will have a break next round.
