Regular Season Round 20: Okayama - Kanazawa 94-60
Date: December 17, 2021
Bottom-ranked Kanazawa is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 20th consecutive match to sixth ranked Okayama (13-5) 94-60. Okayama dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa's 30. Okayama forced 25 Kanazawa turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chris Olivier (202-92, college: OK State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Blake Aoki (202-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and Hiroto Tamada (179-93) scored 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Okayama have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 13-5 record. Kanazawa at the other side still closes the standings. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
