No shocking result in a game in Medina where third ranked Ohod (10-2) defeated 9th ranked Al Salam (4-8) 75-64 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Shane Rector (188-94, college: Utah St.) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 5 rebounds and center Hassan Ali who added 9 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Ohod's coach Fuad Abou Chakra allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Algerian center Touhami Ghezzoul (209-87, college: N.Dakota St.) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and Mohammed Iqbal scored 11 points and 5 assists. Ohod moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Nasr. Newly promoted Al Salam keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Ohod will meet league's leader Al Hilal in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Salam will play against the league's leader Al Hilal (#1) and hope to secure a win.
