Regular Season Round 19: Kawasaki BT - Gunma CT 81-63

There was no surprise in Kanagawa where 7th ranked Gunma CT (10-9) was defeated by third ranked Kawasaki BT (15-4) 81-63 on Wednesday. Kawasaki BT looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Spanish Pablo Aguilar (203-89) helped adding 9 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kawasaki BT have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Chiba Jets. Newly promoted Gunma CT keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Kawasaki BT will meet league's leader Chiba Jets on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gunma CT will play against Akita NH (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
