Everything went according to plan when third ranked Shimane SM (13-6) outleveled at home 11th ranked Niigata A. (2-17) 90-59 on Wednesday. Shimane SM dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata A.'s 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Niigata A.'s players. It was a great evening for American forward Perrin Buford (198-94, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Australian Nick Kay (206-92, college: MSU Denver) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Shimane SM players scored in double figures. At the losing side South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: NM State) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Keigo Kimura (188-0, college: St.Joseph, CT) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Shimane SM moved-up to second place. Niigata A. lost their sixteenth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with Kyoto H.. Shimane SM will meet at home Shinshu BW (#6) in the next round. Niigata A. will play against Hiroshima D. (#5) and hope to secure a win.
