There was no surprise when 10th ranked Samsung Th. (6-14) was outplayed on the road by fifth ranked Anyang KGC (10-8) 103-80 on Sunday. Anyang KGC looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) fired 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-96) chipped in 22 points and 7 assists. Nigerian forward Daniel Ochefu (211-93, college: Villanova) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and center Weon-Seok Lee (203-0) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Anyang KGC and four Samsung Th. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Samsung Th. lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Anyang KGC will meet league's second-placed SK Knights in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Samsung Th. will play against the league's leader KT Sonicboom (#1) in Busan and hope to secure a win.
