Regular Season Round 6: Byblos - Al Riyadi 52-92

Very expected game when 9th ranked Byblos (1-5) were rolled over at home by fourth ranked Al Riyadi (4-1) 92-52 on Sunday. Al Riyadi outrebounded Byblos 49-29 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. International swingman Mark Alkhoury (196-98) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Ali Mansour (185-98) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Mohamed Skaf with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Omar El Hajj scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al Riyadi have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Beirut Club and Sagesse. Loser Byblos keep the ninth position with five games lost.
