The most surprising game was a loss of Rain or Shine in Manila on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Terrafirma Dyip 112-106. Terrafirma Dyip dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Rain or Shine's 42. Terrafirma Dyip looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American forward Antonio Hester (199-90, college: Mobile, AL) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Alex Cabagnot (183-82, college: Hawaii-Hilo) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. Hester is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Terrafirma Dyip players scored in double figures. American swingman Henry Walker (198-87, college: Kansas St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Rey Nambatac (179-94) added 25 points in the effort for Rain or Shine. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
