Regular Season Round 18: Kanazawa - Nagasaki 53-121
Date: December 11, 2021
B3 League top team - Nagasaki (16-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Kanazawa (0-17) in Ishikawa 121-53. Nagasaki made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Kanazawa turnovers and outrebounded them 47-36 including 32 on the defensive glass. Nagasaki players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Point guard Dickson Tariki (181-98) notched 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and American forward Matt Bonds (196-95, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) supported him with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Five Nagasaki players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 9 rebounds by Serbian forward Dusan Vicentic (204-97, college: WVWC) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa. Power forward Blake Aoki (202-93) added 8 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nagasaki have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Nagasaki maintains first position with 16-1 record. Kanazawa at the other side still closes the standings. Nagasaki will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kanazawa will play again at home against the league's leader Nagasaki (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
