Very predictable result when third ranked Iwate (14-6) defeated on the road 9th ranked Tokyo HT (9-11) 75-67 on Friday. They outrebounded Tokyo HT 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import forward Terrance King (198-90, college: ESU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Iwate's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-93) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Iwate maintains third position with 14-6 record having just one point less than leader Nagasaki. Loser Tokyo HT keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
