Very important is a home loss of third ranked Iwate (13-5) against seventh ranked Okayama (10-4) on Sunday night. Host Iwate was defeated by Okayama in a tough game in Iwate 59-67. Iwate was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Okayama's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Terrance King (198-90, college: ESU) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Okayama have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Iwate lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Okayama will play against Saitama (#7) on the road in the next round. Iwate will play against Tokyo HT and hopes to get back on the winning track.
