Regular Season Round 16: Yamaguchi - Yokohama EX 67-97

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when twelfth ranked Yokohama EX (3-13) outscored on the road 11th ranked Yamaguchi (6-10) 97-67 on Saturday. Yokohama EX looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-93, college: Alberta) who added 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Robert Sampson (203-92, college: Georgia Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import center Nicholas Evans (210-88, college: S.Indiana) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yokohama EX maintains twelfth position with 3-13 record. Newly promoted Yamaguchi keeps the eleventh place with ten games lost. Yokohama EX will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamaguchi will play again against Yokohama EX (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
