Regular Season Round 15: San-en NP - Sea Horses M. 71-104

Not a big story in a game in Hamamatsu where 10th ranked San-en NP (3-13) was rolled over by third ranked Sea Horses M. (11-5) 104-71 on Saturday. Sea Horses M. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to San-en NP's 32. They outrebounded San-en NP 46-27 including 17 on the offensive glass. Sea Horses M. looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Jarrod Uthoff (203-93, college: Iowa) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Kyle Collinsworth (198-91, college: BYU) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four Sea Horses M. players scored in double figures. Sea Horses M.'s coach Kimikazu Suzuki felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Justin Knox (206-89, college: UNC) who recorded 26 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Yusei Sugiura (196-95) added 17 points respectively. Sea Horses M. moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. San-en NP lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. Sea Horses M. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San-en NP will play again against the league's second-placed Sea Horses M. (#2) and hope to secure a win.
