Regular Season Round 15: Kyoto H. - Gunma CT 76-97

Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Gunma CT (8-8) smashed on the road 11th ranked Kyoto H. (2-14) 97-76 on Saturday. They outrebounded Kyoto H. 38-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) who scored 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: Southern Miss) who recorded 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Kazuki Hosokawa (187-97) added 21 points respectively. Five Gunma CT and four Kyoto H. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Gunma CT maintains seventh place with 8-8 record. Kyoto H. lost their thirteenth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Niigata A. and Ibaraki R.. Gunma CT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyoto H. will play again against Gunma CT (#7) and hope to secure a win.
