Regular Season Round 15: Yokohama EX - Kagoshima 74-90

Very expected game in Tokyo where 13th ranked Yokohama EX (2-12) was defeated by sixth ranked Kagoshima (10-4) 90-74. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-93, college: Louisiana Coll.) who led the winners and scored 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Christian Cunningham (201-97, college: JSU) accounted for 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side. American Isaac Copeland (206-95, college: Nebraska) came up with 25 points and Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-93, college: Alberta) added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Yokohama EX in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kagoshima have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Yokohama EX lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Kagoshima will play against league's leader Chiba at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yokohama EX will play against Yamaguchi (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
