Regular Season Round 6: Al Wakrah - Al Shamal 89-65

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Al Shamal (1-1) on the court of sixth ranked Al Wakrah on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Al Wakrah 89-65. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American Julius Coles Jr (193-89, college: Canisius) had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and international power forward Erfan Saeed (198-83) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma, agency: Interperformances) with 20 points and 7 assists and Serbian-Montenegrin forward Milko Bjelica (207-84) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds.
