Rather predictable result in Aichi where tenth ranked Aisin AW (5-7) beat 12th ranked Yokohama EX (2-10) 76-61 on Sunday. They outrebounded Yokohama EX 58-34 including a 41-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import Marcus Dove (206-85, college: OK State) chipped in 13 points and 21 rebounds. At the losing side Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 24 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-93, college: Alberta) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Aisin AW maintains tenth place with 5-7 record. Loser Yokohama EX keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Aisin AW will meet higher ranked Tokyo HT (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yokohama EX will play against Kagoshima and hope to secure a win.
