Regular Season Round 14: Saga B. - Kagawa FA 88-55

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Kagawa FA (11-3) on the court of fifth ranked Saga B. on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Saga B. 88-55. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Kagawa FA. Saga B. dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Kagawa FA's 32. Saga B. forced 21 Kagawa FA turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kagawa FA's players. American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Five Saga B. players scored in double figures. Australian forward Rhys Vague (206-96) responded with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saga B. (6-8) moved-up to fourth place. Kagawa FA at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Saga B. are again looking forward to face league's leader Kagawa FA in Takamatsu in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kagawa FA will have a break next round.
